5 TIPS TO CUT CALORIES

1️⃣ Increase your water intake ➡️ Getting in adequate water intake will not only help you feel better overall, but will eliminate a lot of the calories you consume from non-water beverages you drink. "But my diet soda has zero calories, I can still drink that, right?" Please read the article below ⬇️⬇️⬇️

2️⃣ Increase your vegetable intake ➡️ Most people are not getting enough vegetables daily. Increasing your intake will provide your body with nutrients, that it really needs. The fiber will help with fullness and sweeping out excess sugar. And leafy vegetables, like lettuce, can fill your stomach up quickly to prevent you from overeating at meals, so a small salad can take up space in the stomach to help you feel fuller, quicker. 🥦🌶🍠

3️⃣ Increase your protein intake ➡️ Most people are not consuming enough protein daily as well. I find people will need to intentionally eat enough protein, which means it will take effort. If you are unaware of how much protein you need and are not in some way tracking how much you are eating in a day, I am willing to bet you are way under. Especially if you are working out in the gym and striving to grow muscle. Proteins according to serving size are less caloric than carbs and fats. They also will help satiate your appetite, keeping you from reaching for that snack too soon after a meal. Protein also helps build muscle, which will turn up that metabolism. 🥩🍗🐟

4️⃣ Watch Portion sizes ➡️ In today's world where "more is better" is the popular way of thinking, it may be sabotaging your fitness goals. Pay attention to portion sizes, especially with nuts. Start to cut back, when eating out. Instead of getting the Super Grande drink size, accept the next size or two down as adequate (because it is). You don't need the "Value meal", the regular size meal will fill you up and have you feeling crappy in just as much time, with less calories.

5️⃣ Pay attention to fullness cues ➡️ Know when to put the fork down! You do not need to overindulge. If you are not in tune with these cues, slow down your eating and wait a few minutes before getting that second helping 🛑

These are just a few tips that you can start implementing now.

Did you notice that 3 of the 5 talk about "increasing"?

If your diet is all about restricting, you are doing it wrong.

I hope you learned something.
